That Rihanna reign just won’t let up! The Bajan songstress proved her dominance by making her second appearance on the cover of the November 2012 issue of Vogue Magazine wearing a red lace Valentino dress.
Rihanna, who was photographed by Annie Leibovitz at the Tejon Ranch in Lebec, California, absolutely smoulders from the cover and locks us into her intense gaze. This image calls to mind lions in the Serengeti eying their would-be prey. Such a dark, brooding image and a very un-Vogue-like cover from the fashion bible.
In the article titled “Rihanna: The Unstoppable Artist”, journalist Jason Gray writes, “Pop music got Disneyfied and airbrushed, full of performers whose story lines were virginal and choreographed and safe for minivan rides. But in between the High School Musicals and Hannah Montanas and cutesy pop idols, we forgot what a good old-fashioned rock star was. Rock stars are messy. They say bad words and make mistakes and don’t try to impress your parents.” And this is the power and allure of Rihanna.
