Nail care is a $510 million dollar industry and has grown 37% in the last year. What was once the passion of a few is now the pastime of many and companies like Kiss and Broadway Nails are making the mainstream accessible to the masses. Last week, I swung by the gorgeous Ritz-Carlton Spa to check out Kiss and Broadway Nails 2013 product offerings.
The name of the game for Kiss and Broadway Nails for 2013 is ‘innovation’. The nail care brands have upgraded their popular offerings to make sure your nails spark conversation. The Kiss Nail Dress are easy-to-apply nail wraps that come in a variety of designs. Kiss gave the nail wraps a makeover and created dual-end strips that can be used three ways―for the traditional full-coverage, half-moon and French manicure. Each package comes with 22 strips, last for up to a week and retails for $9.99.
Another quick and easy nail option are the imPRESS Press-On Manicure by Broadway Nails. The imPRESS Press-On Manicure is easy to apply, easy to remove and available in a variety of solid colours and patterned nails. Broadway Nails have created a new longer length for people with longer nail beds and will be releasing ten new colours and designs this January. The solid imPRESS nails will retail for $7.99 while the patterned ones will retail for $9.99.
Another nail trend that has been gaining steam is the at-home gel manicure. Kiss has thrown their hat into the ring with their Everlasting Gel Polish. I have tried at-home gel kits before and they can be a little tricky to use due to the number of steps and products needed and the removal time was less than ideal. Kiss has simplified and improved the application process. They have combined the base gel with the primer, thus eliminating a step and creating an easy-to-remove formula that doesn’t require drying acetone remover, and have added optical brighteners to their top gel to prevent yellowing of the gel polish. Kiss will be offering 15 nail polish shades (including glitter polishes). The polish will retail for $11.97 while the kit will cost $29.97. The PRO LED Gel Lamp will be available separately and will retail for $34.47.
Kiss has also created the Everlasting Gel French Manicure Kit with patented French manicure wraps to ensure you get precise lines on your French manicure. This set retails for $34.47.
Each kit will give you 12 manicures and each jar of polish will give you 24 manicures.
All of these products will be available at Walmart locations nationwide beginning in December 2012.
