Style Crush | Vogue bookings associate Simone Tetteh in Five Days, Five Looks, One Girl

One of the first thoughts to pop into my head when I decided to go natural almost 16 months ago was, “How am I going to rock this natural hair in an office?” On the one hand, I didn’t want to fold to other people’s narrow views of what constitutes “professional” and, to a lesser extent, “civilized” but on the other hand, I didn’t want to be ostracized for my decision to not rock chemically straightened locks.

This, however, doesn’t seem to be a challenge for Vogue bookings associate, natural hair gal and very stylish woman Simone Tetteh.

Throughout her feature in Vogue’s monthly section Five Days, Five Looks, One Girl Ms. Tetteh wears the hell out of her natural hair whose hairstyles run the gamut from twist outs, turbans, bouffants and even straightened styles. And her personal, sartorial style? Impeccable.

I enjoy Simone’s realness and love that she showcased all aspects of her personal style including her sportier aspect (was I the only one who swooned when she mentioned being a “reformed” sneaker head?).
