Beauty | Manicure Monday: Rhinestone and pearl overboard + Starry night glitter tips

The week leading up to New Year’s Eve was full of black, gold and silver NYE manis on Tumblr. I wanted to do something a little different and use some of the nail art decorations I had lying around collecting dust.

The base nail polish is Rimmel London Lasting Finish Pro in Lava Red. The polish looks much different on the nail then it does in the bottle. In the bottle it is a deep moody red while on the nails it is black with a tinge of metallic red.

I’m not sure I even like this mani but I thought I would share it with you all.

On Christmas day, I also decided to go for something that wasn’t a typical Christmas mani. After weeks of over-the-top nail art designs I decided to go for something a little less in your face. I opted for an iridescent blue polish with glitter gradient tips and square rhinestones on my thumbs. The blue polish is Quo by Orly in Celestial Star and the silver glitter polish is an unnamed shade from Sally Girl.
