Men’s Fashion | Marcus Kan of À La Mode reviews the Swarovski Spring/Summer 2012 men’s collection

Fashion director, blogger and sometimes guest contributor reviews the Swarovski Spring/Summer 2012 men’s collection. For more on fashion, art, illustration and design visit Marcus’ blog À La Mode.

Swarovski continues to have white and black crystals as the dominant factor for the men’s collection. Part of the collection is leaning towards a more modern and high-tech style while the other half is the continuation of the rock and roll culture.

Swarovski's Reason series pairs square-cut crystals with basket weave.

The Reason series (above) is particular interesting because all pieces are made of square-cut black crystals to create a masculine feeling. Also, the weaving style of the silver is a very interesting design which adds a modern feeling to the pieces.

On the other hand, if you are a fan of skulls, you will not want to miss out on the N The Skull series as the head and teeth of the skeleton are made of black crystals.

The particular item that has caught my eye is the bag charm with the black wing and crystal skull can inject a new dark feeling to your tote or messenger bag.

Overall, this is a must-have collection for all the men who like dark and edgy crystal accessories.
