Event | Hairdressers Against Aids ask you to “Use Your Voice, Use Your Power For A Beautiful World Without AIDS”

L’Oréal and UNESCO have teamed up to present Hairdressers Against Aids (HAA), a HIV/AIDS prevention program aimed at helping hairdressing professionals throughout the world use their voice to help educate their clients.

This year marks the 10th anniversary of the HAA, a program that started in South Africa in 2001 and has included 1.3 million hairdressers in 26 countries to raise awareness about HIV/AIDS.

The slogan for this year’s campaign is “Use Your Voice, Use Your Power For A Beautiful World Without AIDS” and the campaign has gone viral on YouTube, Twitter and other social networking sites.

I have been asked to take part in this milestone along with a number of other bloggers in an awareness raising competition that will be taking place on World AIDS DAY (Thursday, Dec. 1) and I’m so happy to be chosen to contribute to raising awareness about HIV/AIDS. Will I be seeing you on Dec. 1? For more information click here.
