Fashion | DIY fringe earrings

Last week I attended Holt Renfrew’s launch of their new blog Holts Muse hosted Man Repeller Leandra Medine. I tapped into my inner man repeller and wore a pair of fluorescent pink shoulder sweeping fringe earrings that I had DIYed the night before. I decided to make the earrings in cobalt fringe and share the instructions with you all.

At the Thierry Mugler event at The Bay with (from left) Anita Clarke, Chantel Bedward and Chenessa Lam wearing my DIY fringe earrings.

What you’ll need:

-two earring hooks

-two earring pendants

-two jump rings

-about 5 inches of fringe

-a glue gun

Step 1 Open the jump ring and put the earring hook and the earring pendant on the ring. Close the ring.

Step 2 Measure the length of the earring pendant and multiply that number by 2. That will be the width of your fringe (my fringe was 2 inches long). Cut your length of fringe, apply glue to half of your fringe and fold in half.

Step 3 Apply a line of glue to the back of your earring pendant and stick the fringe to it.

And voilà! Statement fringe earrings.
