Fashion | Ecco men’s and women’s fall/winter 2011 preview

Last week, while Mother Nature blessed us with some gorgeous summer-like weather, Ecco plunged me into colder months with their fall/winter 2011 collection preview. I was a little sceptical when I stepped into the Brill Building for the preview because for me Ecco hasn’t always been synonymous with stylish. I, however, was pleasantly surprised.

The men’s and women’s fall/winter collections were made up of some seriously wearable pieces—including both footwear and handbags—that effortlessly straddled the line between form and function (think removable insoles in men’s shoes to allow for extra width, direct injected polyurethane soles for waterproof footwear and latex covered soles for added traction during the icy winter months).

Clockwise from top left: Women's Clear, Women's Hill and Men's Vasto shoes from Ecco.

These gorgeous La Granda heels (below) were some of my favourite pieces from the preview. If you want to get your hands on these heels you’re going to have to act fast—the shoes will be available online-only in September for 30 days.

The La Granda heels will be available online for a limited time.
