On Friday night I attended the Greta Constantine and Ezra Constantine Fall 2011 fashion show where I witnessed the continued evolution of designers Kirk Pickersgill and Stephen Wong. The design duo sent a collection full of diverse cultural references, covetable outerwear and a myriad of textures and materials down the runway.
My outfit was inspired by my 2011 fashion resolution to just say no to the LBD and a tweet from Flare editor-in-chief Lisa Tant asking, “Ok fashion people – we need to practice what we preach. If colour is in, why are we all wearing black & neutrals?”
Instead of wearing another strapless little black dress I opted for a bright pink Zara dress with a flared skirt and animal print accessories (belt from Ardene, bangles from H&M).

Special thanks to Marcus Kan of à la mode and Sarah at the Queen St. Zara for convincing me to put my aversion of pink aside and buy this amazing dress.
