News | Quebec-based retailer Simons is coming to Toronto!

Finally a retail expansion with a “Made in Canada” stamp on it. Quebec-based retailer La Maison Simons is set to expand outside of La Belle Province for the very first time with retail locations in Toronto, Vancouver and Edmonton.

Simons is coming to Toronto! Let's hope luxury retailer Ogilvy's is next.

No word yet on when the purveyor of both Canadian and international designs will be arriving in the GTA (Simons president Peter Simons has been tight-lipped) but let’s hope Simons does not alter their unique blend of high-end and affordable contemporary designs for the Toronto market.

What do you think of Simons plan to expand west?

Oh my! Yes! I have not so patiently waited for this day to come. I’m always happy to spend some money at a Canadian retailer. I’m still grumbling over the loss of HBC.

Any update on when they’re coming to Toronto? I love Simons. They’re chic and affordable and I go to Montreal just to shop there. It would save me time and money if they came here! Of course, I would miss other shopping in Montreal, but having Simons here would be wonderful!

      Hi Kathy,

It seems Simons president Peter Simons is remaining tight-lipped. There is nothing in the news or on the Simons website about when exactly they plan on landing in Toronto. Let’s hope an announcement with dates and locations is on its way. Sorry I couldn’t be of more help.

Simons just opened their first store outside of Quebec yesterday October 31, 2012 in Edmonton and it is a amazing 115,000 space in West Edmonton Mall. Light and spacious with a incredible selection of product and interior visual artwork, graphics and design.
