Season after season Alber Elbaz of Lanvin presents the fashion hordes with a plethora of luxurious, glamourous, covetable designs. For Spring 2011 the glamour and luxury that Elbaz sent down the runway seemed to be a bit more accessible (aesthetically, at least) and was made of the most languid material. “In the end,” he said. “I realize I only want to make women feel gorgeous, comfortable, and beautiful.” And that he did.

With this collection Elbaz seemed to solve the age old dilemma that women struggle with: do we choose form (style) or function (comfort). His fluid, dramatic day dresses, cocktail dresses and evening gowns were paired with both comfortable flats and steep heels.
For me, the showstopping piece was the gorgeous, flowing red dress that Karlie Kloss worked on the runway. Well, that stunning dress is now available for pre-order at Luisa Via Roma for $4,508.
