This afternoon, Xavier Romatet, the president of Condé Nast France announced that Emmanuelle Alt would take the reins from Carine Roitfeld as editor-in-chief of Vogue Paris.
“I give her full confidence and lead to embody this demanding and prestigious brand and make it live in all its dimensions, including that of digital development,” said Romatet.
Alt, who has served as fashion director of the French fashion bible for 10 years, will assume her position on Feb. 1.
I’m actually very happy to hear this news as Emmanuelle Alt was my choice for editor-in-chief. I’m happy to hear that while the aesthetic of Vogue Paris will continue more focus and attention will be given to the digital aspect of the magazine.
