I may or may not have spent way more money than I should have (on myself) on Mother’s Day weekend. Now I am paying for it with frugality/mini-poverty.
Since entertainment outside of my house costs money I decided to check out the latest issue of Net-A-Porter’s magazine (Woohoo! Best Friday night EVER!).
One thing led to another and I ended up on the shopping section of Net-A-Porter looking at things I covet but can’t currently afford.
Below are the things that I absolutely must have (I stayed away from the clothing and shoe section, for the most part, to prevent severe heartache).
While many are experiencing a severe case of trend fatigue when it comes to studs, chains and spikes. I think this Dannijo bracelet – done in gold – is a nice, subtle reinterpretation of that trend.
This orange suede Halston Heritage shoulder bag with understated gold hardware is the perfect summer bag. Colourful, unfussy and casual. Plus it will transition well into Fall.
This olive green jersey dress from James Perse is what started the late night journey into shopping heaven.
This dress is the perfect summer canvas. Dress it up, dress it down. Pile on the accessories (like maybe the Dannijo bracelet or even the Halston handbag) or keep it simple. Belt it or not. Play up the military side of it with utilitarian accessories or play summer goddess with gold accessories and gladiator sandals. Picasso, meet canvas.
I love this RM By Roland Mouret belt for no other reason than it would be a fun piece to play with.
In today’s world, where almost everyone owns a cellphone, one can argue that watches have become less about utility and more about accessory. This Tom Binns watch bracelet is an argument against the watch as utility piece.
And last but definitely not least…
The beloved Proenza Schouler large PS1 handbag in navy suede. This bag is a perfect, timeless handbag. What isn’t there to love?
