The Midas Touch Courtesy of Karl Lagerfeld at Chanel

Chanel. It is amazing that after all these years and all the various products that carry the logo (fishing rods, opera glasses, bikes) those interlocking ‘C’s still persist. In my web surfing some very chic, very Karl shoes have popped up and have me wishing I was a lady who lunches rather than a student/aspiring journalist who scrimps.

These quilted Chanel walking shoes with navy leather detailing on the toe and heel are the perfect way to incorporate the denim trend into your wardrobe while looking effortlessly chic.

This afternoon Flare’s editor-in-chief Lisa Tant, Twitpic’d photos of these two Chanel shoes.

I think if these nautical striped lace-up peep toe wedges (whew! That’s a mouthful) were designed by anybody else I would get hives from the kitsch but when The Kaiser does it they just see right. And despite the height these babies look easy on the ankles.

Lastly, we have these buckle biker boots with metal shin plate a la Michael jackson in Bad or Janet Jackson in Rhythm Nation. While many are experiencing trend fatigue when it comes to the studded, buckled, rock n’ roll, biker trend I think these boots breathe a little bit of life into the trend. Kinda makes you miss fall. Kinda.
