Rihanna for W Magazine

The Rihanna Fenty promotional team is on a roll. The Bajan songstress smoulders on the February 2010 cover of W Magazine in a SS2010 Gucci dress.

She also sat down with writer Danielle Stein to talk about life after the infamous “Incident”, her acting aspirations and the difficulties throughout the album creation process, among other things.

While I love what Ms. Fenty has managed to achieve, the speed bumps she has managed to conquer and all of her fabulous outfits a part of me would rather see models on the cover of fashion magazines.  That beings said her presence on the cover of fashion magazines is a breath of fresh air when I think about the stiff, celebs (and celeb significant others) that usually appear on the pages of fashion publications.

She look sensational! I kept help but feel that much of the increasing visibility of cutting-edge fashion in music culture is due to the pioneering efforts of Rihanna.

Even before Lady Gaga, Rihanna was taking risks and making it happen – she could have just been another fluff bunny, but her fashion speaks to something much more creative and impressive underneath.
