Seen On The Scene: Elizabeth Banks, Katherine Heigl, Jennifer Lopez, Brooke Hogan, Kim Kardashian, Ciara, Emily Rossum And Charlize Theron

I’m going to get right into it as I have to rush to get ready and out the door for a work event.

Elizabeth Banks walked down the red carpet for the Los Angeles premiere of Funny People in a blackMaxMara dress with asymmetrical straps and shoes with what looks like zipper rosettes on them.

Elizabeth Banks

Apparently Elizabeth didn’t work with a stylist for the event.  Did she also bypass a hair stylist?  That being said I think the outfit is alright.  I really like the dress and shoes but not together and I think she could have done with a few more accessories.

Katherin Heigl attended the advanced screening of The Ugly Truthhosted by InStyle’s managing editor Ariel Foxman in New York City and wore a blue draped and belted Reem Acra draped dress with black Christian Louboutin peep toes.

Katherine Heigl

While I love the dress and the simple pairing with the peep toes I liked Katherine much better with blonde hair.  This new brunette look makes her look mournful.

Jennifer Lopez (who we don’t see a lot of) attended her hubby Mark Anthony’s press conference to announce his partnership with the Miami Dolphins in New York City.

Jennifer Lopez

She wore a coral beaded dress with a crocadile skin Birkin and gold wedge handles.

While J. Lo doesn’t smoke like she used to this is still a nice outfit.  Bringing a bit of Miami to NYC I see.

Hulk Hogan’s daughter Brooke Hogan attended a CD signing in Florida yesterday and wore a black jumper with jeweled mules.

Brooke Hogan

Well if wonders never cease!  Brooke Hogan actually looks decent.  The mules and the fake bake are a bit tacky but I do love the black jumper.  I see she’s on the road to recovery and I like it.

Everyone’s favourite Kardashian Kim attended the Los Angeles screening of the Orphan and brought her new BFF Ciara with her.

Kim Kardashian and Ciara

Kim wore a Proenza Schouler T-shirt bustier dress with an YSL cage belt and Trib Two platform pumps while Ciara wore sequined Gryphon racer back tank top with leather skinny pants and black pumps.

I think the both look sub par at best.  I really don’t like the T-Shirt bustier dress at all.  Kim would have been fine if it didn’t have that black T-shirt incorporated into the dress.  And Ciara’s execution of this Super C alter ego has been disastrous.  It doesn’t seem genuine and the wig is horrendous.

Emily Rossum also attended the LA premiere of the Orphan and she wore a high-neck Phi dress with exposed zippers with a pair of black sandals.

Emily Rossum

Another miss for the ladies today.  While the dress was meant to look edgy the high neck and Emily’s choice of hair style make it look prim.  From the thigh down though the look is smoking.

Last but not least we have Charlize Theron at the World Football Challenge between Chelsea and Inter Milan at the Rose Bowl in Pasadena, California wearing a velvet (?) strong shouldered blazer with a draped dress and Miu Miu sandals.

Charlize Theron

Yet another miss.  The ill-fitting dress and jacket make her look quite frumpy though I do like the belt and sandals.

What do you think of the ladies style choices?  Who would you choose as your best dressed?

Brooke Hogan?! I was not aware such a beast existed. I take it from your comments “Wonders never ceasing” et. al, that my surprise at her looking quite passable is, in fact, merited.

Jennifer Lopez does look very nice – I have to agree with the lack of smoke; the forbidden latin temptress of yesteryear seems finished, but she pulls off Miami socialite quite well.

How can anything look that bad on Charlize Theron? Or Kim Kardashian for that matter? As for Ciara – if she wore anything that wasn’t a misstep I think I would have died of shock. I find that woman reprehensibly devoid of civilization.
