Givenchy Fall 2009 Haute Couture

Darkness ruled the runway at Givenchy as Ricardo Tisci sent eerily morbid looks down the runway.  Even when the models were clad all in white there was still an air of the dark side around them.

He presented a white studded dress with a spiked hem and black front panel complete with a crown of thorns a la Jesus and a cream ombre dress with a red hem that resembled blood dipped flower petals.

The sheer trend was also visible on this runway with some models draped from head-to-toe with sheer fabric.

A Michale Jackson influence also permeated the collection with one model sporting a shirt of chains beneath a blazer with strong rounded shoulders.

A gorgeous, dark rich collection from Ricardo.
