Seen on the Scene: Taylor Swift, Chanel Iman, Rihanna

A celebrity’s work is never done.

As with most nights the glitterati were out attending screenings, awards shows, openings and other events.

Here are some hits and misses from Tuesday night.

Chanel Iman hosted the Bensoni Cocktail Party wering this red dress with ruffle detailing at the arms and embellished gladiator heels and a black clutch.

I like this look on Ms. Iman.  The colour is stunning on her and I like how she accented this column dress with embellished gladiator heels. Tré

Also at the Bensoni Party was Harper Bazaar intern Tallulah Willis’ sister Scout Willis in this feathered skirt, white tank top, shrunken blazer and strappy heels..

Tallulah and Scout Willis

I’m usually not a fan of the Willis Girls fashion choices but I like Scout’s outfit.  It suits the ‘look’ that she has going on with the dishevelled hair.

Rihanna was seen at the spa Carol’s daughter yesterday wearing a blazer with strong shoulders a slate blue mini dress and polka dot peep toe shoes.

While this look is bordering on the eclectic/hectic line I kind of like it.  I would have rathered she choose a different shoe but she looks alright.

Michelle Pfeiffer wore this white midi dress with ruffle detailing at the bust and silver peep toe heels to the Cinema Society and Niolly Prat screening of ‘Cheri’ in NYC last night.

Now Michelle is either channeling Shirley Temple or the 90s in this outfit and I don’t mean that in the good way.  This outfit doesn’t work at all for me.  The curls are too defined, the dress is too plain and the accesories do nothing to help out the situation.

Taylor Swift attended the CMT Music Awards wearing this beaded mini dress and black sandals.

Though I’m not a fan of extremely beaded clothes this dress looks alright on Taylor.  I like that she kept it relatively simple with the diamond bracelet and strappy heels.

What do you think? Why outfits do you like and which fashion choices fell flat?

One Response to Seen on the Scene: Taylor Swift, Chanel Iman, Rihanna

  1. Lucas says:

Chanel Iman is ne plus ultra summer elegance! She is positively iconic – really, verging on Breakfast at Tiffany’s here!

The two subsequent creatures look even worse then they otherwise would in comparison.

Rihanna is a smash as usual – you’d think she’d been raised in the beaux-arts gothicism of Paris or Manhattan and not an island idyll.
