Good news for all you Dolce & Gabbana fans. The design duo of Domenico Dolce and Stefano Gabbana are set to cut their prices by 10 to 20 per cent while still maintaining the creativity and quality of their garments.
This initiative is a long-term one but will begin with the Spring 2010 collection and will include the Dolce & Gabbana line as well as the secondary line D & G.
So expect to see five-pocket jeans for $450 down from$695, a dress priced at $1,469, down from $2,295, a leather bomber jacket for$1,499instead of $2,296, and an iconic stretch silk tulle corset dress will retail for $3,589 down from $5,200.
“The idea is to peel off the superfluous because there are too many clothes, too many seasons, too much advertising — too much of everything that is tacked onto the final price. We want to go back to how things were 20 years ago. It’s about drawing the line,” he said.
Nice to see that change is on the air.
