Yesterday was the Women In Film’s 2009 Crystal And Lucy Awards in Century City, California and the ladies came out to play in some hits and misses.
Jennifer Aniston wore this metallic, strapless mini dress with nude sandals.
While she is donning both the metallic and wrinkled trends I don’t think I’m feeling the look on Jenifer. She always looks so wholesome which prevents her from looking sexy. Maybe it’s the hair or the minimal amount of accessories. I do like the nude heels though as they help to elongate her tanned legs.
Michelle Trachtenberg also walked the carpet wearing this cinched gold printed dress with black peep-toe heels.
I really like this look from the dress to the makeup to the heels to the hair. I like.
Nickelodeon actress Keke Palmer wearing floral-ish printed maxi dress with peep toe heels and what looks like feather earrings.
While I’m not sure how age appropriate this outfit is (Keke is 15-years-old) but I really like this dress on her. The hair is kind of grandma-ish though and I would have liked to see a cuff.
Actress Elizabeth Banks embraced both the sheer and glitter trend wearing this black dress with matching satin clutch and pumps and diamond accessories.
This dress had a lot of potential and falls short for me. If only it fit … then maybe it wouldn’t look like an elaborate potato sack.
Another attendee embracing the trends of the season was model Amber Valletta wearing metallic dress with cutout detailing at the shoulders with black patent leather platform shoes and a feathered clutch.
I love the shoes and that’s where the love ends. This dress doesn’t work for me, the hair is very first lady-ish and the purse doesn’t work for me either.
Tracee Ellis Ross was there wearing an abstract black and white printed dress with a black and gold studded belt with a black clutch and Christian Louboutin pumps.
I LOVE this look. There are many simple pieces to this out fit that were given a little extra ‘oomph’ through print and accessories. The dress has a simple shape and colour combination but is spiced up with the print and the belt. The clutch and shoes are simple but paired with the dress the bracelet and the belt everything looks more than. Tracee manages to look chic and tailored with a little edge.
What do you think? Which looks are ‘hits’ and which are ‘misses’?
