Things That Make You Go Hmm…

So I was flipping through my favourite weekly when I saw an American Apparel ad that made me go ‘hmm’.  Now I love the 80s (and the 90s) as much as anybody and I think of them as a time whe music and style (which is very different from fashion) were at their best but really?

American Apparel scrunchies

Apparently scrunchies are back.  Will you be rocking scrunchies?  What about other trends like harem pants, strong shoulders and biker shorts?

Now I love neon and I think the new shoulder pads are tres chic but I don’t think scrunchies were something that needed to make a comeback.  I’m filing them under ‘Done and Dead’ alng with fanny packs and leg warmers.

No. Just like you, scrunchies is a fashion trend we should all forget. Personally, harem pants and biker shorts aren’t doing much for me either.

American Apparel likes to push limits. I love a lot of their items, but there is also a large number I would never wear. Gotta give them props for catching your attention though? Some scrunchie lover out there will buy them!

I, like you elle ar, don’t understand the appeal of biker shorts or harem pants. I’ve seen a lot of celebrities trying to pull them off but I’m not convinced or sold.
