Since the days of the Fendi baguette It Bags have been THE go to accessory and designers have vied with eachother in attempts to produce the “bag of the moment”. However, the It Shoe is challenging that dominance. Higher, flashier and edgier then their predecessors the It Shoes have been taking the runway and the red carpet by storm with names such as Christian Louboutin and Manolo Blahnik becoming household names.
Street style photographers such as Tommy Ton of JAK & JIL have dedicated much of their film (or memory card space) to capturing the hottest footwear in town.
And despite the wiggles, wobbles and falls on the runway women’s footwear continues to reach for the stars as each season designers try to top last season’s creations. Whether it be the Yves Saint Laurent cage sandal or the Balmain crystal embellished studded sandals or the Louis Vuitton Spicy heels it looks like the It Shoe is here to stay…at least for another few seasons.
See for yourself.
