Each year I make two sets of New Year’s Resolutions: a general list of resolutions, that includes things like exercising more or making the Dean’s List, and a list of fashion resolutions.
Last year on my fashion resolutions list were things like incorporate voluminous clothes into my wardrobe, wear more prints, read more fashion books and take more fashion chances.
This year I hope to continue with last year’s resolutions and add a few new ones too. So without further adieu here is my 2010 New Year’s Fashion Resolutions List:
1. Master wearing high heels. I am a wimp. I only wear heels when I go to clubs and fashion events and I’d like to wear them to school or my upcoming internship. I’m going to start with 2-inchers and work my way up till I am a stiletto master.
2. Attend more Toronto Fashion Week shows. When it comes to the Toronto fashion scene I am a bit of a newbie. While I have attended quite a few fashion events and some runway shows (Greta Constantine and Carlie Wong, which were both unofficial fashion week shows) I have yet to attend an official show. This upcoming season I’ll be there.
3. Be more creative with my makeup. My makeup regimen is limited to eyeshadow, mascara and sometimes bronzer. False eyelashes, lipstick, foundation, eyeliner and all those other makeup wonders are quite foreign to me. This year I’d like to experiment more with makeup and maybe even take a cosmetology class.
What are your New Year’s fashion resolutions?
